Immunology, Vaccines, and NHS Careers by Dr Elizabeth Bateman FRCPath
The Harvey Society is proud to host Dr Elizabeth Bateman who is the Clinical Lead of Laboratory Immunology at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS trust. She has 13 years’ experience of clinical research and is the co-author of 35 papers relating to immunodeficiency, allergies, and the actions of T-cells and B-cells. Her talk will cover the main areas that healthcare scientists work in, physics, physiology and life science and what they do. She will also talk about what it is like to be an Immunologist in a diagnostic lab and what she does on a day-to-day basis. This will make a fascinating talk for any students interested in a career as a healthcare scientist.
This talk is open to sixth form students, their families and staff from local secondary schools.
